  14.    Chicago, IL, January 12, 1996 -- Visual Information Services Corp.
  15.    (Nasdaq: VICP, Bulletin Board) an interactive TV developer
  16.    headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and Escom AG, a leading computer
  17.    manufacturer headquartered in Bersheim, Germany, have finalized an
  18.    international license agreement to adapt, utilize, license, and
  19.    distribute Amiga technologies within VIScorps interactive intelligent
  20.    set-top TV appliance - Electronic Device (ED). The license authorizes
  21.    VIScorp the right to use, re-license, and distribute the Amiga
  22.    operating system, and compatible parts of current versions and future
  23.    updates of the technologies where the Amiga products are used as, or
  24.    as part of, interactive television devices.

  26.    In 1995, Escom AG acquired all Commodore and Amiga licenses, patents
  27.    and trademarks. Amiga is an acknowledged leader in the computer
  28.    industry in the area of providing high quality graphics for monitors
  29.    and television broadcasts through their sophisticated chip sets. The
  30.    combination of the Amiga hardware/software technologies and intuitive
  31.    operating system makes them a viable contender in the development of
  32.    high speed delivery for complex graphic programming. The Amiga
  33.    technology can import and adapt software to the set-top box with
  34.    minimal changes.

  36.    By employing a sophisticated chip set, such as the Amiga technology,
  37.    VIScorp will have the ability to provide a complex set-top appliance
  38.    with multitasking functions to integrate affordably the TV set, phone
  39.    line and network service providers. This ability has not yet been
  40.    offered or available through existing systems, said Jerome Greenberg,
  41.    VIScorps, Chairman of the Board. By utilizing our unique set-top
  42.    appliance and incorporating the Amiga technology, VIScorp is able to
  43.    provide a complete practical solution for interactive TV services, and
  44.    now the ability to access the Internet through a standard TV set with
  45.    pricing that makes sense for the average TV viewer.

  47.    The integration of the Amiga system with the VIScorp set-top appliance
  48.    will allow access to the Internet, on-line services and voice chat
  49.    programs through the TV set. As planned, ED will access any on-line
  50.    services (e.g., CompuServe or AOL), local bulletin board services and
  51.    any address on the Internets superhighway. Access can be through a TV
  52.    remote, a computer keyboard, a touch-sensitive pen or the microphone
  53.    in the ED. Additional plans will enable consumers to play games (e.g.,
  54.    individually, against a networked opponent), or enable home shopping,
  55.    electronic banking, and enable a subscriber to gain access to
  56.    information services through a TV set.
